During the Google I/O 2023 event, Google delighted viewers with a plethora of AI announcements, but the highlight was undoubtedly the introduction of their entry into the foldable smartphone market, the Pixel Fold. Continuing their tradition of hardware reveals at the conference, Google officially unveiled the Pixel Fold, which had been confirmed earlier in a tweet on Star Wars Day, May 10.



The Pixel Fold boasts a compact size of approximately 5.8 inches when folded, but expands into a tablet-sized 7.6-inch display when unfolded. Weighing in at 10 ounces, it is equipped with what Google claims to be the most durable hinge ever seen on a foldable device. However, quality comes at a price, as the Pixel Fold carries a hefty price tag of over $1,700.



Overall, Google's Pixel Fold represents their ambitious venture into the foldable smartphone arena, offering users a versatile device that combines the convenience of a smartphone with the expanded screen real estate of a tablet.

Features :

  The Pixel Fold shares many similarities with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series when it comes to its foldable design and features. However, what truly distinguishes it is the integration of the Tensor G2 chipset, which is also utilized in other devices of the Pixel lineup. Additionally, the Pixel Fold boasts a triple rear camera system comprising a 9.5 MP front-facing camera for selfies, along with a 48 MP primary lens, a 10.8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 10.8 MP telephoto camera.
